Knowsley Enterprise Academy (KEA) is based at the Award Winning North Mersey Business Centre (NMBC) in Knowsley, Merseyside. The concept of the academy was developed by Knowsley Development Trust (KDT) to improve the lifestyles of local people.
The KEA Complex provides a centre that facilitates the fostering of enterprise activity. The new complex incorporates a private car park, access for the disabled, advanced ICT equipment, purpose built meeting rooms and a conference centre suitable for corporate hospitality.
The Academy’s aim is to create a culture of enterprise and boost the business start up rate in Knowsley by providing the 11-25 age groups with opportunities to develop their own businesses for their chosen careers by recognising their unfulfilled potential and talent.

During their time at Knowsley Enterprise Academy students of the former Ruffwood and Brookfield schools decided to produce a film to mark the closing of the two schools which sees the creation of Kirkby Sports College.
